Residents of Murray Harbour are provided with sanitary sewer service. Each lot has its own on-site well for water. The Town is responsible for and street lighting and maintenance.

Fire protection is provided by the Murray Harbour Fire Department. Police protection is provided by the RCMP.

2011 Property Tax Rates:   

Commercial    $0.50/$100.00
Residential      $0.45/$100.00
Fire Dues for village residents are included in the above tax rates.
Outside village district fire dues are charged separately on property tax bill.

Annual Sewer Rates $469.00

Garbage collection is available to residents through waste watch program.

Safety During a Hurricane or Tropical Storm

In the event of an large-scale emergency situation, please make sure you are prepared to be self-sufficient in your home for the first 72 hours. In the event we have to evacuate you from your home, we will be setting up the Community Centre as an Emergency Shelter. We will be issuing regular updates through the media. If you need immediate assistance, e.g. you are flooded out of your home, please call the fire department.
