In an incident, a man died when his newly purchased yacht capsized Sydney’s south at Boat Harbour. According to the ABC understands the man originally belongs from Bundaberg, Queensland. He came to Sydney to sail the boat to Queensland. He was accompanied by a woman and she swam to shore when yacht lost its control and overturned. It was about 5:00 am. She notified paramedics after this. The ABC with the primary inspection understood that the man was in his mid-70s.
It is still now clear if the man or woman on board were wearing life jackets and were using all safety measures that one should use while sailing. Mel Thompson, the Acting Inspector from the Sutherland Shire Police Area said the “At the time when this accident happened the sea was quite hazardous”. The accident was horrible and it remarkable that the young woman who was on board managed to reach shore. However, the investigation in this regard is going on.
